Google Pixel 4 vs Pixel 4 XL Full Comparison: Specifications and features
Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL full comparison with specifications, features, pricing, variants, and etc are the main highlights of this article. Both these phones are launched in the USA and this will be launched in the international market soon. There is nothing confirmed about the launch date of this phone in India.
These are the latest flagship killer phones of Google. These are the first Google’s flagships to come with the 90 Hz display refresh rate. Night sight is also used in this phone, which is enhanced than the previous version. The Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL will also get this update for the better night shots.
This phone is made for heavy performance and the best possible cameras. The project Soli is the main highlight of this phone, which was getting too popular from the starting. This technology uses a miniature radar sensor, which locks the phone when you don’t use this. The same technology unlocks the phone when you wanna use this phone. Unfortunately, this uses 60 Hz frequency, which is banned in some countries like India.
Some of the countries might won’t get Project Soli in their Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. This technology can be skipped in Japan also. Apart from this project Soli, the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 is used on the rear and front sides with the Aluminum Frames (They should have used the Corning Gorilla Glass 6 because this is the best Google’s flagship).
White, black and So Orange colors are revealed for both the phones but, So Orange is limited edition. Curious to know the price? So, 6 GB RAM and 64 GB Storage variant of Pixel 4 is launched at the price of $799, which goes around ₹57,000. Another variant comes with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB Storage and the price is $899 (₹64,800).
The Pixel 4 XL launched at the starting price of $899 (₹64,800) and this variant has 64 GB Storage only. The top-end variant has come with 128 GB and its pricing is $999, which goes around ₹71,000.
Both the phones are dual-Sim but the first Sim card is Nano Sim and another supports E-Sim. There is no slot to put the memory card, which is disappointing with this much lower storage. The Phones are IP 68, which means, you can use these phones under the water for 30 minutes.
There is no 3.5mm jack and this is the most annoying thing from 2019 flagship phones. The phone has Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC, etc. A USB Type-C port is used in both the phones, which is good.
Now, I am gonna tell you one thing, which might disappoint you for sure. The Pixel 4 has only 2,800 mAh battery, which supports QI Wireless charging also. The Pixel 4 XL has a 3,700 mAh battery, which seems better than Pixel 4. Both the phones support 18W quick-charging only.

The OnePlus 7T Pro was the first phone with Android 10, but these phones also have Android 10 with the Android One program. Google used Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC in both the phones, which is made on the 7nm architecture. This SoC has Adreno 640 GPU for the best gaming performance and these are Google’s phones, so you will have the best software experience also.
Both the phones have 6 GB RAM and 64 GB and 128 GB storage options. Choose wisely, because there is no slot to put the memory card.
These phones have a dual-camera setup. The 12+16 MP camera sensors are used in both phones. The 12 MP is the main camera sensor and it is an wide sensor. The aperture of this sensor is f/1.7. The dual-pixel PDAF technology comes with this sensor. OIS is also available for the stable shots. The pixel size is 1.4um, which is damn impressive.

Will I recommend these latest Google flagships to you?
Pixel 4 is launched for compact display lovers like me and Pixel 4 XL is launched for the large display lovers. I personally like compact displays over the larger ones, so Pixel 4 is my preference. The displays are really good except the old design and Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Android 10 is good and Android 11 and 12 are already confirmed. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 ensures the best performance and Adreni 640 GPU is also plus point. Adreno 640 can deliver the best Graphics. I have one complaint here about both the phones, these are the flagships and pricing are also for the flagships.
The storage is not good at this pricing, because 64 GB is nothing for a flagship. The storage options are damn disappointing. The cameras are decent and you will love them, especially the night site.
I can recommend this phone only for the camera lovers but, I won’t recommend this phone to my readers. I am damn disappointed with these flagships and I am giving the kick to them. The Samsung Galaxy S10e is the best flagship ever made at this pricing and you should consider that.
